Reporting From Atlanta Auditions, March 4 2018
White it feels absolutely refreshing to meet new faces and
talents at DUD Season II auditions but when teams from last year come forward to
participate again, there is a kind of powerful familiarity that strengthens bonds
within the DUD community.
McDonald’s Dance USA Dance Season II got a lovely surprise to
meet Atlanta Nritya Academy, the winners of last year series, who came in to
give another shot at winning at the Atlanta auditions.
“Dance USA Dance is a wonderful platform for getting
exposure and experience. We did not want to miss a chance to perform in front
of judges of such great repertoire.” says Sudakshina Mukherjee, Artistic Director
of Atlanta Nritya Academy.
Sudakshina brings 25 years of her experience as a dancer and
creative vision to the Dance USA Dance stage. Sudakshina has been learning
Bharatnatyam from the age of 3. She is trained in Pandanallur and Kalakshetra
style of Bharatnatyam, along with several other dance forms including
Contemporary, Bollywood, Folk, and Rabindra Nritya.
“Atlanta Nritya Academy is a powerhouse of talent. They definitely
